Ingrid Forbes-Hall is a mother, licensed Civil Engineer, Architect, designer, sustainable agriculturist, Food visionary, and Entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in building designs, construction, and infrastructure development. She consulted and worked with several Engineering firms in Connecticut and New York State Department of Transportation, in construction, designed, road restoration, Bridges inspection and designs, drainage systems, sewer systems, Railroads connecting systems, building structures, environment accessor, structural restoration of airport runways, taxiway and aprons. She created the first vegetable ice cream in 2002 and has been working in food industry to help small businesses to develop Food science technology, Food processors, and Manufacturer industry. Ingrid believes the Continent has an abundance of food wastage and is focusing on reducing that wastage into valve-added products.

INGY NATURAL & ORGANIC (New York & Nigeria) was created to fulfill the need for desirable frozen desserts using Dairy, Nondairy, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Exotic Liquors, Natural & Organic blends of juices/smoothies, herbal Tea, Spices, Dry Fruits, Gluten-free Flour, Pasta and can meats. We aspired to address the need to minimize food wastage, create Sustainable Food Storage for the future, and to help rural farmers. INGY & IF Inc. Mr. Dortimi Kester Tawari is a graduate of Laws (LL.B Hons) Obafemi Awolowo University, lle-Ife, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989. He holds a Masters Degree in International Relations (M.Sc. Int’l Relations) from the University of Benin. Holds Advanced Professional Diploma in Sustainable Development SDG Volunteerism/Skills-Preneurship from Hetaved Skills Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2021.

Mr. Tawari is armed with well over 30 year Post Call Experience and has worked as a Private  Legal Practitioner, Legal Adviser in the past, experience in Knowledge and Corporate Re-engineering, Developmental Issues and is familiar with compliance, law and Corporate Governance.

 His work experience is quite vast, attesting to his versatility and dedication to duty in the various positions he has been privileged to occupy. He began his working career briefly with Olisa Agbakoba & Associates and then with Civil Liberties Organization, Lagos. Mr. Tawari has also held different positions in the corporate world. He was Head of the Recovery Unit of the defunct Allstates Trust Bank; then Head, Legal and Risk Management at Resort Savings and Loans Limited, Lagos from which he joined Emo Oil and Petrochemical Limited as Executive Secretary to the Chairman/CEO on Energy and Mining and then GM. Human Resources, Community Relations and Legal, Emo Ashapura Energy and Mining Limited, Abuja. He was Personnel/Head, Post Training and Engagements Unit, Amnesty Programme, in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta, for the sustainable Reintegration / Alternative Livelihood Support Programme for Ex-Militants. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GEL Utility Limited - generating and supplying uninterrupted power to Port Harcourt Refinery in 2018. He is happily married to Timinepre nee Thomas Okoro of Patani.

Tanesha has a diploma in sales and marketing, community and youth work, property management, mental health awareness, first aid, and level 1&2 food hygiene. A specialist in hospitality, entertainment and tourism. Program Coordinator, Blogger, and Property Acquisition Executive, specializing in short-term and BnB rentals in the European, African, and American rental markets and generally, into high-end luxury short-term homes for tourists.

She is the Managing Director of an expanding vehicle rental business and has been able to support future projects in relation to the rental market and exploring potentials in the Maritime sector. On the side, Tanesha is a paid Culinary & Travel blogger creating visual content, public speaking, and static content.

Tanesha's end goal is to drive investment to the Continent and the Caribbean for the growth and betterment of their respective economies.

A professional Tourism/ hospitality practitioner. A public sector person and served in the Plateau State Tourism Corporation, Plateau State, Nigeria until retirement as General Manager.

She holds a Higher National Diploma in Tourism and a Masters Degree in International Business Management. Salome has interest in recreational/amusement parks for all ages especially for children and the youth not excluding adults for health and healing. Salome is into commercial farming and successfully established and operating a Greenhouse organic farm in Nigeria. As an aside, undertakes, marketing/retailing of African clothes and foods.

Salome brings in more than 35years of expertise in the Tourism and Entertainment and skills in the business Greenhouse farming and management.

Ovens F. Ehimatie is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), an elected Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), a member of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE), member of the Nigerian Institution of Water Engineers (NIWE), member of the Project Management Institute, USA and a chartered member of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb).

In addition to his bachelor’s in civil engineering, he also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Human Resources) and an Executive Master's Certificate in Project Management. He has attended several local, national, and international workshops and conferences. He is the Chairman and founder of Water, Sanitation and Rural Development (WASARD) Organisation, an engineering-based non-governmental organization.

As Head of Membership Services of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), he was in charge of conceptualizing, designing, and coordinating membership activities for the then 58 NSE Branches in the 36 states of Nigeria. His knowledge of Arbitration, Project Management, and business acumen is very useful in managing resources, identifying, and mitigating risks associated with various projects to ensure proper project forecasting, budgeting, timely implementation, and quality deliverables, while avoiding and resolving workplace and external work-related disputes, to achieve set goals, to time and budget.

His love and passion for the African tribes and cultures made him receive the Certificate of Honour for winning the President of Nigeria’s Giant Gold Gong in the National Festival of Arts and Culture (NAFEST 89). Engr. Ovens F. Ehimatie has exceptional writing, analytical, critical thinking, public speaking, and communication skills - publications, presentations, research, etc. He is currently the Executive Director of the Federation of African Engineering Organisations, the apex umbrella body for all Professional Engineering Institutions (PEIs) in Africa.

 

Martell Hurlock is a professional Master Gardener and Agronomist by training and experience. Martell is an interior horticulture specialist, and a consultant on the greenhouse production of ornamental plants, fruits, and vegetables. Martell attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture specializing in Plant and Soil Science.

Martell’s experience also includes being a business owner at the age of 21 for the Greenleaf Restaurant and supervising another, Munir’s Steakhouse in Queens, New York. He has also worked with Madlyn Simon & Associates, an Interior Plantscaping Company, as an Interior plant technician, with Interior Foliage Designs as a plant Technician, as a supervisor with Kiwi Interiors, and at Blondies Treehouse as a Quality Control Specialist. Martell was an Assistant Zone Gardner in the New York City Park System, Central Park Conservancy for 3 years.

Martell is currently working as a horticultural consultant, on establishing a twenty-unit hydroponic greenhouse farming operation for cut flowers and vegetable production on the island of St Lucia, as part of a contract for a major hotel chain. Along with being a volunteer at the University of the District of Columbia’s experimental farm, Martell is also a volunteer’s teacher in urban farming techniques to adults and youths in the city of Washington D.C. Martell has also done Soybean and Black eye peas research as part of his independent studies with Dr. Robert Dadson at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

In addition to his training and experience in his field, he is also an accomplished percussionist, poet, and chanter with an upcoming album. A lover of martial arts and a great fan of sports. Martell currently resides in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

ALAWIYA is a seasoned principal scientific officer and licensed environmental health officer; a climate change activist, environmentalist, and involved in Water, Sanitation, And Hygiene (WASH) projects. She obtained a master’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Bayero University Kano, Nigeria, and a BSc. in Chemistry from Kano University of Science and Technology Wud. She is the Founder of AWIFCA

She has led and participated in several climate change mitigation and adaptation projects and as a UNICEF facilitator on climate change resilience in the WASH sector. Over the past 9 years, Alawiyya has worked as a Chemist with the pollution control laboratory at the Kano State Ministry of Environment.

Mrs. Alawiyya is passionate about women's empowerment and youth entrepreneurship. She also provides strategic sustainable solutions on how to achieve universal access to clean cooking solutions in Nigeria and Africa. She is dedicated, driven, and determine to accomplish goals and aspirations for the ACIDC group. Her team spirit and the ability to engage with teams and tap into extensive networks and partnerships globally are noble addition.

ATOJI, ERNEST ONWE is a Nigerian, who is inspired to work with people from the diaspora to impact and improved the economy and social environments in and out of Nigeria and the Continent at large. He is the father of three children, A solid minerals scientist, and agriculture expertise in soil and sustainable agriculture.Ernest has a bachelor's in Agriculture Science in Crops and Soils and has been working with Remote Sensing/Geographical Information Systems (RS/GIS), and African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology.Mr. Atoji is the founder of two companies. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Farmin for tech Nigeria Limited, President of Greenlight Agricultural Cooperative Society Limited, and a consultant to the International Consultancy United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization. He has worked with various non-project organizations and completed the following projects:UNDP Nigeria Peace Project, World Bank-STEP B-Project, IFDC-2SCALE Project General Consultancy. Ernest believes in Thinking out and inside the box, creating Innovative solutions to issues, and impacting the local communities, farmers, and producers. He has been creating a resource system that sources and creates value-addition products for raw minerals, as well as food supplies. In addition, he has been working with Acid President on Research and Development (R&D) in Herbal, Seeds, Plants Materials, and Science.

Mwatima is a Rural Development Specialist retired from International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD). Now she is a full-time permaculture organic farmer with experience as an Agroecology organic farmer activist and environmentalist. She obtained a Ph.D. in agronomy. from Wye College, University of London, and a BSc from Sokoine University of Agriculture Morogoro, Tanzania.She is the chair of the Tanzania Organic Agriculture Movement and participated in several discussions and awareness against the use of industrial chemicals in our farming and taking care of our soils for sustainable production. She is also the board chair for Practical permaculture institute Zanzibar where actively engaged youth focus on social enterprises and permaculture training.  Mwatima is also a chair of the Forum for African Women Educationalist Zanzibar chapter. (FAWE) focusing on girls' education, women's empowerment, and youth entrepreneurs. Her team spirit and the ability to engage with teams and tap into her extensive institutional memory and connection are assets for ACIDC to reach its intended goal.

Jibril is a Nigerian-born Civil Engineer, Agriculturalist, and serial entrepreneur with over a decade of experience as a project manager at Doxxie Global Solutions. Founder and CEO of Jaybees prosperity Ltd, an Agro-based service and value addition to farm produce. Co-founded Taimako Tours and services from my passion for tourism and travels.

Geoffrey Kirenga is an accomplished professional with seasoned expertise in agricultural sector transformation, pest management, and plant protection. He is passionate about agriculture and has been at the forefront of transforming Tanzania’s food systems, tactfully championing an improved business environment for improved crop and livestock investments.His background is in crop protection, for which he acquired a Master’s (MSc.) degree from the Imperial College, University of London. Over the years, as an employee of the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) and now SAGCOT, he acquired considerable experience in Tanzania's food system. He has previously served as Assistant Director for Crop Promotion, and Assistant Director for Extension before being promoted to the Director of the Crop Development Division at the MoA. Kirenga's extensive network in the Tanzanian and international agriculture and agribusiness communities is an asset to all that wish to venture into Tanzania’s crops and livestock sectors. Mr. Kirenga remains committed to improving agricultural productivity, food security, and livelihoods through many opportunities brought about in the bid to transform Tanzania's and Africa's food systems.

Charles Ezire is a Nigerian born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Studied Traffic Engineering in Ukraine, a COREN-licensed Traffic Engineer with specialization in Road Safety and Environmental impact. He completed a four years degree in Oil and Gas Engineering at Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Ukraine. He speaks English, Russian and Ukrainian Languages. He is a fast learner, committed to any project and obsessed with success from dedication and teamwork. He is Computer literate and proficient in diver with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Mathcad, and Compass.A BRIDGESTONE ENERGY APPLIED TECHNOLOGY trained and certified “Fire Fighting and Prevention, Oil Field Health Safety and Environmental Management, Project Management/Supervisor.” He has worked on numerous international projects with the New York Department of Transportation and traffic safety, where he gained some experience exchange in solving problems in Road and Work Zone Safety, Project Management, Highway Engineering, Office Engineering, and Geotechnical Engineering. Mr. Charles’ primary objective is apply innovative and cutting-edge technology to find solutions in Engineering, Management, Research and Material Science focusing on Manufacturing and Science, Research, and Development.

Kelvon Burke is a Grenadian-born Civil Engineer with over 12yrs experience demonstrated track record of accomplishments in all phases of Civil Engineering projects in infrastructure, roads and buildings.  He is a Project Manager and has supervised public and private projects, such as bridges, roads, buildings, flood mitigation, and airport expansion projects; with estimated budgets of over $50 million per project. Mr. Burke is bi-lingual in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and Chinese.He utilizes his interpersonal and motivational skills in project development, management and implementation and has supervised teams of over 100 members to peak performance and timely delivery of projects within budgets.  The Kuwait fund/OFID/Government of Grenada and entailed the rehabilitation of feeder and agricultural roads including bridge construction.

Mr. Johnson Opigo graduated in 1983 from the University of Calabar with a B.Sc. Degree in Economics. However he started life after graduation as a freelance Graphic Artist which he combined with managing the Sawmill Division of the family business. After four years he was in the employment of the Rivers State Government Newspaper Corporation, first as a Graphic Artist and later as a Features Writer on Economic Affairs in the Editorial department.

His three year stint in journalism ended in 1990 when he secured an appointment as a pioneer staff of Crystal Bank of Africa (now in combination with UBA as Standard Trust Bank) rising rapidly through the ranks to the position of Deputy Manager, a position he held until he left the banking profession in 1995 to set up his ICT consultancy company, Net Endeavours Ltd. He found comfort in Information Technology where he has so far spent 28 years as a consultant in ICT training, web design, web development, and mobile technologies.

Mr. Opigo has over the years consulted for several high net-worth individuals, banks, employers’ associations, manufacturing companies, oil companies, Ministries and Agencies of the Federal Government as well as State governments, and international organizations including the International Chamber of Commerce Nigeria (ICCN), United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) where he taught courses in Innovative Collaboration for Development and as a trainer for the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation, Netherlands (CTA) where he facilitated training workshops in Web Design, Web Development and Web 2.0 technologies and applications in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific countries.

He has over 17 years of combined experience as a Consultant for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Geneva and the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), Netherlands where he was also the Coordinator of all CTA’s Trainers in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific countries in addition to his portfolio as Lead Trainer for Nigeria.

DanRimi Adamu Hassan schooled and successfully worked for more than 30 years in the public service of the Nigerian Government. He started his career as a military officer and became the Deputy Defense Minister and retired as Director a (Admin) in the Ministry of Interior. In the course of his service, he took courses in defense and security (management) and now a skilled person in defense and security management.He acquired knowledge in dialoguing and was involved, in negotiations with non-state armed groups in Nigeria and beyond, on the behalf of the Government. He acquired experiences in Governance and leadership and met with different people from all parts of Nigeria and in different countries around the world.Hassan hopes to deploy his wealth of experience to participate actively in ACIDC group work and supervise the shipping and logistic needs of the ACIDC.

Carolyn Baugh is a Jamaican born, living in New York, She is a trained Certified Nursing Assistance and a trained Culinarian, who is inspired to start operating a small restaurant in partnership with ACIDC. She is committed to contribute her skills and talents to ACIDC New York and ACID Nigeria Hospitality and Food unit.

David Ocean Ibrahim is a Nigerian-born native of Kogi state, that is a passionate development expert with decades of customized development activities in Nigeria especially. He is the President of Talent Nation and Ocean School of Vision, Innovation and Development (OSVID). He is a serial innovator with several national projects to His credit, a public speaker, a project manager, and a preacher. Mr. Ibrahim is a devoted father of two daughters and feels it is necessary to promote Nigerian youth into a training program that impacts their lives and rural communities.

He aspires to attain new Real Estate projects working with ACID in Africa and the Caribbean.

Omar Hurlock is an American-born, Caribbean descendant of Jamaica. He is an artist that fell in love with various forms of artistic expression at an early age, producing music, photography, sculpture, and more importantly filmmaking. He graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Arts in Film documentary and Television Production and is currently in his MFA thesis year at Roc Nation School of Music, Sports. Omar is sought after for his extreme talent, ingenious engineering, and catalog of music.

Andrea is a Jamaican-born lawyer/barrister, who is aspired to be an entrepreneur in the hospitality and tourism industry of ACIDC. She an advocate of the welfare of women and children and feels she as much to offer in the philanthropy world. She thinks ACIDC has a lot to offer Melanated people across the globe, if we work together as one unit. Her aspirations to contribute to the development of the continents will push Afro-Caribbean Integrated Development in a positive strike.

Sammuel Ayam is a Jamaican by birth living the in the USA, with a background in Power Utility, Infrastructure and Transportation Engineering and graphic design. She is Plateau State Native that is an experienced Agricultural professional(35years) with expertise in tasks such as crop management, Fertilization, field cultivation, weed control, pest control. She is proficient at planting and harvesting crops, irrigation, Crop cultivation and Management, tilling soil, crop rotation. Proficient at employing harvesting best practices including analyzing soil quality. BAJO.M. BABOUCARR is a businessman and a venture capitalist focusing on International Trade and Foreign Investment Management, Asset Management, and Consultancy. Mr. B M BAJO is the Business Director of The Equinox Vizion Group and Equi-Cash Financial Management Inc.

Previously Mr. BAJO has worked with West Corporation (AT&T) Account as a Business Account Manager, in Madison, WI (USA); Management Trainee with Kairaba Beach Hotel, The Gambia, also worked with Sunbeach Hotel and Resort, Cape Point, Bakau as Assistant Human Resources Manager and later Reservations Department Supervisor position; also worked with the International Bank of Commerce (IBC) now Mega Bank of The Gambia as Bank Branch Manager Trainee. He is also an unpublished writer and author. Baboucarr M. Bajo is a Gambian Lawyer in equity awaiting to sit his Bar and Vocational Exams to become a Legal Practitioner. Linda is motivated to contribute to her compassion for health care by helping ACIDC to create Agro-Health and Wellness care centers using herbal and medical plants to recover their health conditions. She has a passion and a drive to care for people and is dedicated, driven, and determined to attain her desires in the health care, hospitality, and tourism industry.

Kim is a Nigerian born native of Jos, Plateau state. His drive is to be a real solution provider using analytical and strategic thinking to tackle varying degrees of problems.He is an Associate with the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (ACIB) and a practicing banker with over five (5) years’ experience in Customer relationship management (SME and affluent), digital marketing, operational risk management, credit analysis and review among others.Kim holds a Bachelor of Science. and Master of Science in Economics from the University of Jos and Nigerian Defense Academy Postgraduate school Kaduna, respectively. Researching, testing ideas, and meeting new people tops the list of what he enjoys doing.

Shanice Baugh is an American born, Caribbean descent of Jamaica. She resides in Houston, Texas. She is a certified nursing assistant  who is inspired to broaden her horizon  in the Agro-medicine,  Health and wellness Spa and Real Estate sector

JOSEPH NDUNGURU has a PhD in Plant Pathology, a Masters in Agronomy Specialized in Plant Virology, and a BS in Crops Sciences. As a scientist his research interests focuses on understanding plants and plant pathogens at the molecular level, their genomics, gene expression and on developing resistance to plant pathogens such as viruses and other pathogens of economic importance in Africa. He also uses molecular techniques to identify plant phytocompounds that can be exploited for medicinal use in Africa. Joseph brings 13 years of research and development experience to drive ACIDC to a new era of medicine by using plants.

An innovative and experienced individual with expertise in project management and creative problem-solving. Skilled in project coordination and innovative solution development with extensive experience and record in resource mobilization from a wide range of donors such as government organizations, regional donors, foundations, international institutions and donors, private sector and non-government organizations.

Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Pathology, University of Pretoria, South Africa. Dissertation on ‘Molecular characterization of cassava mosaic geminiviruses in Tanzania, Research conducted at the International Laboratory for Tropical Agricultural Biotechnology (ILTAB), Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, St. Louis, USA.  Rresearch interests focus on understanding plants and plant pathogens at the molecular level, their genomics, gene expression and on developing resistance to plant pathogens such as viruses and other pathogens of economic importance in Africa.  I also use molecular techniques to identify plant phytocompounds that ca be exploited for medicinal use in Africa.  

Brings on Board to ACIDC over 13 years in leadership positions involving management of institutions, leading teams of researchers and administrators in Tanzania, as well as in sub–Saharan Africa and outside Africa.  He has inspired individual researchers to achieve their goals and to encourage teams to work together towards common goals.

 

 Professor Joseph served as Director of Research of the Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute, Selian Centre, Arusha, Tanzania 09/2018-05/2021, Director of Research and Innovation of the Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute, Dodoma, Tanzania  06/2022-01/2023 and is currently the Acting Director General, Tanzania Plant Health and Pesticide Authority, Arusha, Tanzania. He speaks English and Swahili.

 

Janet Y. Lawerence is an talented Jamaican born Film writers and director. Her parents migrated to the UK when she was an infant and was educated in London, England.

Alongside her first degree, she studied film and television. Her first film for channel 4 in 1985/6, Mistaken for Mad, looked at the Caribbean and Asian communities and mental health. She worked briefly in the BBC newsroom and freelanced in the industry and developed several projects for the BBC. Janet worked on the series Eye on the Prize in the US on the history of the Civil Rights Movement created and produced by Henry Hampton. It was nominated for an OSCAR and numerous other awards, including an Emmy and a Peabody.

She is a member of Women in Film and television, the The Royal Television Society, and the British Film Institute and was invited to the Sundance Film Festival by Robert Redford. She was a temporary editor for The Gleaner (UK) and a board member of the Edinburgh Film Festival. In addition, she is a guest lecturer and has been a private tutor. She is currently filming a documentary.

Lawrence was a member of the Lignum Vitae Club, a charity that falls under the patronage of the Jamaican High Commission. She also provided career advice for several years at Whitgiff School (Croydon
